چکیده
This study aimed to explore the effectiveness potential of Eichhornia crassipes, Pistia stratiotes and Salvinia molesta for reduction potentially toxic metals from effluents enriched with Cd, Cr Pb. Based on a 21-day laboratory-scale experiment, total three concentrations at 1, 5 10 mg/L were selected culture each macrophytes. In addition, kinetics prediction models used analyze metal data understand behavior removal rate species Taguchi methodology see what right conditions greater efficiency are. The results suggested that macrophytes was able reduce crassipes manages 90.8-99.99% 90.8-99.9% 89.6-99.9% Pb, 74.6-99.9% 91.2-99.9% Pb 83.2-99.9% 62.2-99.9% 89.2-99% first-order model it is adjusted appropriately plants, having an adjustment R2 than 0.80. analysis shows optimal phytoremediation occur 1 after 21 days.

Aquatic arsenic: phytoremediation using floating macrophytes.
Phytoremediation, a plant based green technology, has received increasing attention after the discovery of hyperaccumulating plants which are able to accumulate, translocate, and concentrate high amount of certain toxic elements in their above-ground/harvestable parts. Phytoremediation includes several processes namely, phytoextraction, phytodegradation, rhizofiltration, phytostabilization and ...

Background: Application of membrane technology to wastewater treatment has expanded over the last decades due to increasingly stringent legislation, greater opportunities for water reuse/recycling processes and continuing advancement in membrane technology. Objectives: In the present study, a bench-scale submerged microfiltration membrane bioreactor (MBR) was used to assess the treatment of tex...
متن کاملMacrophytes as indicators of bioavailable Cd, Pb and Zn flow in the river Przemsza, Katowice Region
A 5 km stretch of the river Przemsza, in southern Poland, was investigated with the aim of finding out if a gradient of metal pollution was present along the river and to determine the bioavailable flow of Cd, Pb and Zn between water, sediment and submerged macrophytes. In situ experiments in pots as well as experiments in sealed jars were performed by using Potamogetonpectinatus and Myriophyll...

Pot experiments were conducted to study the potential of T. angustifolia plants for Cr, Cd and Pb toxicity on the ultrastructure, Reduced Glutathione (GSH) and Free Cysteine on T. angustifolia (Narrow Cattail) after 30 d exposure of 1 mM Cr, Cd or Pb. Cr, Cd and Pb toxicity stress distort the ultrastructure and the treated seedlings showed that the vacuoles were expanded and endoplasmic membran...
